Wessex Archaeology use the latest Leica Viva GNSS survey instruments for recording archaeological sites. These are the newest type of satellite based positioning systems which in addition to using the American (GPS) satellite network can also use the European (Galileo), Chinese (Compass) and Russian (Glonass) networks.
